Self-Confidence and Assertiveness Training
Target Group:
All staff who lack confidence within themselves or within their job role, and as a consequence may find it very difficult to be assertive when it would be beneficial to be so. This course is designed to equip and empower the delegate with a range of self-help tools and assertiveness skills that, when appropriated, encourage personal confidence and enhance healthy choices in communication.
Aims:
- To develop self-confidence and assertiveness skills
Learning Objectives:
On completion of the course delegates will be able to:
- Identify the causes of low self-confidence and the antidotes for it
- Recognise the difference between having an external and internal locus of control
- Explain the links between thinking, emotions and behaviours where confidence and assertiveness are concerned
- Discern appropriate contextual use of specific assertiveness techniques
